Date: 04/13/06 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I really love this story. You took a storyline that could be seen as a teenybopper fantasy and made it believable and realistic. You've done an amazing job with the characterization; I haven't experienced some of the things V and Nick have myself, but I feel like I can relate to them because you've made them so understandable and easy to empathize with. I love how you show their inner thoughts; it really helps because they - Veronica especially - don't always act on their feelings, so it's good to know how they really feel, and you do a great job at showing that. You also keep both sides balanced really well, alternating between Nick's and Veronica's perspectives. Also, I really like the way you're tackling some tough issues, like divorce, self-esteem, parents' opinions of us, etc. and doing a fantastic job with them, while still sticking to the budding romance plot. These issues add to the believability of the story and give it more depth; I'm usually pretty picky about romance cause I get bored with it when there's too much "romance" and not enough of anything else, so I really enjoy the real life sort of drama in this story. Keep up the AMAZING work; I can't wait to read more!! Summary:
things still aren't right for Nick since his return from the Japan Tour. He is sick and needs help but will he get it in time before it's too late? I had put chapters 30 & 31 from SWIII here by mistake. Chapter 30 listed now is correct...I didn't skip any chapters, it just looks like that - too lazy to update #s. Date: 07/24/06 Title: Chapter 10: A new normal Hey! I just found your story and have been reading it - amazing job on it so far!! It seems very realistic; you did a wonderful job with the medical details, making things accurate. It's always nice to see that. I'm not sure if you just knew all of those details because this is based on a true story, or if you did your research, but either way, good job, and thanks! It's always refreshing to see that in fanfics. :) Summary: Kendra has no idea how much her life is about to change when she is diagnosed with Osteosarcoma after a gymnastics competition went wrong. While her long time boyfriend suddenly stops contacting her all together, she meets Anthony, who is going through the same things as her. Not all endings are happy though as tragedy strikes, leaving Kendra wondering if there is anything good that will come of any of the past few months.
